Multi-component reactions for the construction of heterocycles have been fascinated by microwave energy as an alternative technique heating, owing to advantages over traditional reflux methods. The heterogeneous catalysts contribute significantly towards recycling, harmless, easy filtration, catalyst preparation, more life span, abundance, and product yields. With novel creative uses in organic peptide synthesis, polymer chemistry, material sciences, nanotechnology, biological processes, usage has rapidly increased during past 20 years. This article covers multicomponent involving chromenes, pyridines, pyrroles, triazoles, pyrazoles, tetrazoles, trans cis julolidines using under microwave. It provides overview contemporary microwave-assisted catalytic reactions. Microwave chemistry is now established technology with several regarding reaction rate production yield, improving savings confirmed many applications.
